The building, recently named "Alter Herrensitz" (Old Manor), appears in 16th-century sources as the Groland seat near the church. In the 16th century, it was still known that once – probably in the 15th century – an Anton Tucher had sold the so-called seat by the churchyard to Wolf Groland. Later, the property passed to Jakob Groland. The small residential tower, largely destroyed in 1552 during the Second Margrave War, had at least two upper floors, each with a lower and upper lordly chamber. Below, probably on the ground floor, was a vaulted room where wine was stored.

The seat, destroyed in 1552, was sold as a "purkstal" with agricultural buildings and the two-story longhouse, also called Voithaus, by Philipp Geuder to Christoph Tucher in 1580. The Tuchers had already acquired the Spitalsitzlein in 1532. Under Christoph Tucher, the longhouse was demolished in 1587 and replaced by a new Voithaus with stables. Further new farm buildings followed until 1614, but the reconstruction of the residential tower was omitted. According to a report from the Waldamt Sebaldi, the building was only repaired in 1660 by the guardian of Christoph Sigmund Tucher. Presumably, the four-story reconstruction soon fell victim to another fire, which was still remembered in 1697. The seat, at least severely damaged around 1700 – "so im ruin lieget" (which lies in ruin) – was only restored again around 1715 by Christoph Wilhelm Tucher. With an expenditure of 968 Gulden, under the direction of a Nuremberg master Walther, half-timbered constructions, the roof structure, and the interior were renewed.

The building, shaped by the restoration in 1715, is located southeast in the large farmyard; immediately to its north is the horse stable, a new building from 1748 on the site of the old Voithaus. The large courtyard complex was almost completely enclosed with buildings to the west and south during several expansions. To the west extends the longhouse with former stables, staff, and rental apartments. It largely dates back to the new building of 1587. To the south, it concludes with a small tower, built in 1713 and converted for residential purposes in 1892. The entrance to the castle courtyard is in the middle of the southern enclosure, where the gardener's and day laborer's house was built to the west around 1740, and the schoolhouse to the east, which was structurally expanded in 1906. The manor house, along with the other buildings, remains in family ownership to this day.
