The Castle in the Middle Ages+

The castle was built around 1515 for the Counts of Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen, expanded in 1632 with an administrative wing for administration and servant quarters, and rebuilt in the mid-18th century. At times, the castle was used as an inn "Zum Hohenloheschen Wappen" (To the Hohenlohe Coat of Arms) and then again as a stately residence. After the demolition of the immediately adjacent tithe barn and the development of the associated garden behind the castle in the 1970s, the days of the formerly representative estate seemed numbered. In 2001, the "Interessensgemeinschaft Sanierung historischer Bauten" (Community of Interest for the Renovation of Historic Buildings) bought the castle and renovated it.
