In the village of Angle in Pembrokeshire, Wales, stands Angle Castle, a 14th-century Pele Tower. It was once built by Robert de Shirburn.

The construction of the Pele Tower is attributed to Robert de Shirburn in the 14th century. It is believed that the Shirburn family commissioned the building during the era of Owain Glyndŵr, a time when a French army landed at Angle in 1405 to assist Glyndŵr. While some sources consider the structure a simple Pele Tower, others see evidence of a moat and another tower, suggesting that the remains preserved today might have been part of a larger castle complex.
