Hauzenheim Manor

To be privately owned

Ansitz Hauzenheim, a historic manor and estate house, is on a hill in Kleinvolderberg, Tyrol. The property, also popularly known as Stachelburg, was once a Kunkellehen of the County of Tyrol.

History+

The earliest known owners of Ansitz Hauzenheim were the Nobles of Vögler, who held the property until 1495, including Gottselin in 1278 and Conrad von Vögler in 1317. Subsequently, ownership passed through various noble families, including the Nobles of Dieperskircher and Liechtenstein, the Waltenhofer, as well as the Händl and Bärenecker. In 1509, Hans von Dieperskircher sold his share to Sigmund Bärenecker, followed by Thomas von Liechtenstein, who sold his share to Georg Fuchs von Fuchsberg in 1511. A turn occurred in 1603 when the property came into the possession of Ernst von Stachelburg, which gave the manor its nickname “Stachelburg.” Through the marriage of Simon Felix Freiherr von Crosina to Anna Katharina von Stachelburg in 1738, the manor came into his possession.
