The historic building "Ansitz Kampfmühle" is located in the municipality of Prissian in South Tyrol. It is a building with a rich history, which has been extended and rebuilt several times over the centuries.

History of the building+

The building was erected in the 14th century. Owners were the Lords of Kölbl and before 1636 Melchior von Lindegg.

17th century

In 1636, the Ansitz was acquired by the Lords of Brandis. They had the building extended and rebuilt. From this period dates the stately residential building with its corner oriel and the chapel dedicated to St. Anthony.

18th century

In the 18th century, the Ansitz was owned by the Counts of Trapp. They had further alterations made to the building, including the construction of a new staircase and the redesign of some rooms.

19th and 20th centuries

In the 19th century, the Ansitz changed hands several times. In the 20th century, it was used for various purposes, including as a guesthouse and a school.

Current use+

Today, the Ansitz Kampfmühle is privately owned and is used as a residential building. It is a listed building and is considered an important example of South Tyrolean architecture.
