Schrattenburg Manor

To be privately owned

The Ansitz Schrattenburg, also known as Schullernschlössl, is a manor and country house situated on the southern slope of the municipality of Aldrans in Tyrol. This building, characterized by its forms and detailed facade design, was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century and originally served as a summer residence.

History+

The construction of Ansitz Schrattenburg took place in 1908. It was commissioned by Hermann von Schullern zu Schrattenhofen, a professor at the Vienna University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, whose family belonged to the old civil service nobility. Initially used as a summer residence, the manor became Schullern's permanent home from 1915, when he moved to Tyrol during World War I and taught economics and statistics at the University of Innsbruck.
