Antoniterkloster Eicha
The Antoniterkloster Eicha, a former monastery of the Antonine Order, is located in the present-day Eicha district of Naunhof, southeast of Leipzig in Saxony. It was once the southernmost branch of the Lichtenburg General Preceptory and is now protected as a cultural monument in Germany.
History+
The monastery's origins date back to 1497 when it was officially founded. It was dedicated to the patron saints Anthony and Mary. In 1525, the Antoniterkloster Eicha was dissolved and secularized as part of the Reformation. Prior to this, from 1512, a monastic estate also belonged to the Antonines' possessions.

The former monastery buildings are now part of an estate. After the political change, the manor house was renovated and is now privately owned. In 1995, the vaults of the former monastery were made accessible to the public for the first time.
