Antony House

To be privately owned

Antony House is a manor house located in the county of Cornwall in the United Kingdom. This estate, associated with the Carew family for centuries, is distinguished by its Baroque architecture.

History+

The history of Antony House dates back to 1432, when it became the ancestral seat of the Carew family. Between 1711 and 1721, William Carew commissioned the construction of the current Baroque mansion, replacing an older building. Although the architect is not explicitly known, the design is often attributed to James Gibbs. In 1839, a portico was added to the courtyard side.
