Ardnargle House

Ardnargle House stands about a mile north of Limavady, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, in a late 18th-century demesne with shelterbelts and remnants of an ornamental garden. The Ogilbys, large landowners in the county and relatives of the Alexanders of Limavady, bought the farm from the Wilsons in 1781.

John Ogilby built the present plain two-story, five-bay house around 1790 (sometimes 1788) and planted the trees. Robert Leslie Ogilby added the porch, three-sided bay window, window frames with consoles, modillion cornice, and terrace around 1840–54. The hall and main rooms have Victorian classical stucco. The house temporarily served as a secondary residence when the same family owned Pellipar House in Dungiven.
