Ashford Castle, an impressive medieval fortress, stands majestically on the shores of Lough Corrib near the village of Cong in Ireland. Originally built in the 13th century by Anglo-Norman nobles, it is now a renowned five-star hotel and one of the most exclusive establishments in the country.

The origins of Ashford Castle date back to the 13th century when it was constructed by an Anglo-Norman noble family. Over the centuries, the castle changed hands multiple times. A significant phase of restoration and expansion began in the 1850s under the patronage of Benjamin Guinness and his son Arthur Guinness, the 1st Baron Ardilaun. In 1939, Noel Huggard acquired the estate and successfully established it as a first-class hotel.
