The remains of the Castle can be visited

Aughentaine (also Aughintain, Aghintain) near Fivemiletown, County Tyrone, covers two successive houses and the ruin of a Plantation castle that gave them their name.

Sir William Stewart built a lime-and-stone fortified house about 1618, with a large bawn. Pynnar’s survey called it among the finest then rising in the precinct.
