Augustinerchorfrauenstift Riedern am Wald

The origins of the convent date back to the mid-13th century. In the year 1247, the foundation stone was laid for the complex, which was subsequently inhabited and shaped by the Augustinian Canonesses B.M.V. For centuries, it served as a spiritual center, influencing the cultural and religious life of the region. The community of Augustinian Canonesses dedicated themselves here to prayer and work, contributing to the development and preservation of the monastery over the centuries.
