The former Augustinian nunnery of Waltringhausen, also known as Annenborn, was a spiritual institution located in the Soest region of North Rhine-Westphalia. It was notable for its relatively short existence and its early incorporation into another collegiate church.
History+
The monastery was founded in 1322 by Luzia, the widow of Knight Rutger von Mellrich, on her estate in Waltringhausen, with permission from the Meschede Abbey. The community of women followed the Rule of Saint Augustine. The monastery was named Annenborn, derived from the patronage of Saint Anne, but was also dedicated to Mary and Saints Adauctus and Felix. A particularly revered object was a miraculous image of the Madonna and Child from the 13th century. The monastic life concluded around 1408, and its possessions were transferred to the St. Walburgis Collegiate Church in Soest.

Today, the St. Anna Chapel may mark the site of the former monastery church. In the 19th century, remnants of the monastic buildings were reportedly still visible on the Schultenhof.
