Belvedere

The origins of the Belvedere date back to 1775, when Duke Adolf Friedrich IV had a summer house built south of the village of Broda and named it “Belvedere” due to its location. This original building was later dismantled and rebuilt in Neubrandenburg. In its place, Grand Duchess Marie commissioned a new house in 1823. Master builder Friedrich Wilhelm Buttel designed it as a Doric prostylos, a rectangular plastered building reminiscent of a Greek temple.
