The former Benedictine monastery of Eilversdorf, also known as Marienzell, was located in the Saalekreis district of Saxony-Anhalt. The complex was once a significant religious center in the region and today stands as a testament to medieval monastic culture.

History+

The foundation of Eilversdorf Monastery took place no later than the beginning of the 12th century. It was run by the Benedictine order and played a role in the spiritual life of the surrounding area. The monastery church was dedicated to Saint Bruno of Querfurt. In 1558, the monastery was dissolved during the Reformation, bringing its long history as a spiritual institution to an end.
