Bibrasches Castle
The Upper Castle+
Originally there were two castles in Euerbach - the Upper and the Lower Castle. Both castles were destroyed in 1525 during the Peasants' War. In 1563, the Upper Castle was rebuilt by Baron Heinrich von Bibra.
The Castle Chapel+
The castle chapel was built in 1600 by Prince-Bishop Julius Echter. The chapel is dedicated to Saint Vitus. The altar dates from 1720 and was donated by the then owner, Baroness von Bibra. The chapel was renovated in 1963 and 2003.
The Castle Garden+
The castle garden was laid out in the 18th century. It is a baroque garden with a fountain and various sculptures. The garden was renovated in 2007 and is now open to the public.
The Lower Castle+
The Lower Castle was also destroyed in 1525 during the Peasants' War. It was not rebuilt. Today, only a few remains of the walls are visible.
The Castle Mill+
The castle mill was built in 1600. It was in operation until 1950. Today, the mill houses a museum.
The Mill Museum
The Mill Museum shows the history of the mill and the life of the millers. There are also changing exhibitions on various topics.
