Brandenburger Gate

The Gate can be visited

The Brandenburger Tor, also known as Neubrandenburger Tor, in Altentreptow is a Gothic city gate and one of originally three gates of the city wall that surrounded the city. Due to its height and the city's border location with Mecklenburg, it also served as a watchtower. The gate with its pointed arch passage was built around the year 1450. The building is a five-story brick structure with a gabled roof. The typical brick building received blind arch ornamentation on the upper floors.

The gate is located in the south of the city on Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße.
