Brandenburger Gate
In Altentreptow, the Brandenburger Tor is one of the original three gates of the city wall. This Gothic brick structure defines the townscape and also served as a watchtower due to its height and strategic location.
The Brandenburger Tor was constructed around the year 1450. It is a five-story brick building featuring a gabled roof and a pointed-arch passage. The upper floors are adorned with decorative blind arches, characteristic of Brick Gothic architecture.
The Brandenburger Tor is situated in Altentreptow, a town in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is located in the southern part of the town on Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße, at an elevation of approximately 12 meters above sea level.
