Ariendorf Castle
Ariendorf Castle was owned by Elector Johann Hugo von Orsbeck in 1706. Later, ownership changed to the Caramée family and in 1840 to Rittmeister Ludwig von Horch. He had the current castle built in 1845-46 by Cologne Cathedral Master Builder Ernst Friedrich Zwirner. After this, ownership changed in 1909 to Countess Ferdinande von Westerholt, later to Friedrich von Westerholt - Gysenberg and the Blume - Nienhaus family.
