Bruch Castle
Bruch Castle is located in the municipality of Bruch in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a moated castle and stands at an elevation of approx. 188 meters above sea level.
History+
The origins of Bruch Castle date back to the 14th century, when it was constructed. From this early building phase, parts such as the entrance facade with its gatehouse, a five-story corner tower, and a round tower at the opposite end are still preserved. Originally, the castle was owned by the Lords of Bruch before it passed as a fief to the Lords of Daun. In 1539, the complex returned to the possession of Kurtrier.
