Buchenbach Castle, also known as Oberes Schloss or Steinhaus, is a hillside castle above the village of Buchenbach, a district of Mulfingen in the Hohenlohekreis. This complex, rising on an eastern spur of the lower slope, marks the transition from the Buchenbach gorge into the Jagst valley.

The origins of Buchenbach Castle date back to the 11th century, when it was built by the Buchenbach family, first documented in 1098 and likely related to the Lords of Stetten. In 1340, the castle changed hands when Gernot von Stetten sold it to the Lords of Bächlingen. An inscription from 1356 confirms that Rüdiger von Bächlingen had the castle built with its keep.
