Butrint Castle, also known as Kalaja e Butrintit, is a historic fortification in Albania. It is situated on a peninsula, offering strategic views of the Vivar Canal and the Strait of Corfu, which highlights its importance in past eras.

The castle's origins date back to the 13th century when Butrint became a significant part of the Venetian colonial empire. Its location made it a crucial stronghold between the Adriatic and Aegean Seas. The pentagonal castle featured a square tower at its northeastern corner, which was reconstructed in the 1930s. Historical records also suggest another tower within, possibly serving as the castellan's residence. The Republic of Venice additionally built a tower on the canal bank below the castle to control access to the city and the fortress.
