Dottendorf Castle

Dottendorf Castle is a former moated castle in the Dottendorf district of Bonn. It is located on Villenstraße (house number 6) near Quirinusplatz. The building is a protected monument.
Dottendorf Castle was a free noble knight's seat. In 1491, the castle was first mentioned in a document. The owners were the Lords of Büchel. In 1850, the Endenich manufacturer Carl Baunscheidt acquired Dottendorf Castle.
The castle belonged to the Heukamp family until 2010, who renovated the castle in the 1990s and housed a guesthouse. In June 2010, the Bonn Birth House and the Center for Primary Health moved in there.
