Fürth Castle (Glehn)

Haus Fürth in the Korschenbroich district of Liedberg in North Rhine-Westphalia is the only surviving moated castle in the Rhineland built in half-timbered style.
The complex, protected by moats and consisting of a manor house and an outer bailey, dates from the 15th century. It emerged from a fortified dwelling and was extended and supplemented several times over the centuries. A renovation took place from 1958 to 1964.
Haus Fürth belongs to the Counts of Spee. It is privately owned and inhabited; a visit is only possible from outside the courtyard area.
