Hirsch Castle

To be privately owned

The tower was built during the construction of the Landgraben in the 15th century, the gate in 1684 and the side wings at the beginning of the 19th century. Their core dates back to the 17th century. The two-story watchtower was later extended upwards. Lower gabled wings adjoin on both sides. The resulting courtyard is enclosed on the street side by a wall with a portal. The courtyard complex is built of quarry stone with bluestone surrounds. Above the entrance portal is a stone with the city eagle and the year 1684. In 1985, the roof and facade were renovated.
