Hoheneck Castle, a medieval structure in Middle Franconia, presides over Ipsheim. Today, it serves as an educational institution and is an example of a castle owned by the city of Nuremberg.

History+

Hoheneck Castle was first documented in 1132, within the founding documents of Heilsbronn Monastery. Since 1953, the castle has been owned by the city of Nuremberg. In April 1984, the Kreisjugendring Nürnberg-Stadt took over its sponsorship and has since used the complex as a youth education center.
