Isenburg Castle (Köln)

History+
The castle, presumably built in the 12th century, was first mentioned with certainty in 1385. In 1742, the then owner Johann Wilhelm von Lünink had the old castle demolished and a new building erected. Shortly thereafter, he sold it to Count Hermann von der Horst. Under Hofkammerrat Bertoldi, the castle burned down around 1800 but could be rebuilt as early as 1803. In 1982, Bruno Wasser acquired the complex and had it converted into a residential complex by 1985.
