In the Kleinbüllesheim district of Euskirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia, Kleinbüllesheim Castle is located. Originally rebuilt in the 18th century, it now presents itself as an architectural ensemble.

History+

The lordship of Kleinbüllesheim was initially part of the lordship of Tomburg before it later came into the possession of the Cologne Cathedral Chapter. In 1728, the medieval castle was demolished. Under the direction of Lothar Friedrich Adam Freiherr von Bourscheidt, a Cologne electoral chamberlain, a new manor house was built in its place. The plans for this came from the master builder Johann Conrad Schlaun.
