Priest's office

In the late 11th century, the Lords of Chostingen, as ministeriales of the Cham margraves, built a tower. The margraviate was formed in 1204 from the territory of the Wittelsbachs and divided into regional courts. Kötzting was granted market rights by the Bavarian dukes after 1255.
