The Church Tower+
The church tower is the remnant of the former moated castle of the Lords of Remchingen; the church itself was built in 1468. It is a fortified church tower with loopholes in the three upper floors, so-called keyhole embrasures, only 8 cm wide on the outside, 85 cm on the inside, with masonry up to 1.70 m thick, which clearly expresses the structural dimensions of the former keep. The tower was damaged in a fire on St. Joseph's Day in 1832 and then several meters were removed. A renovation took place in 1912/13.
