Burg Pissenheim, a former manor and estate house, is located in Muldenau, a district of Nideggen. Originally a moated castle, it now serves as a private residence and is a registered monument in North Rhine-Westphalia.

History+

The origins of the complex date back to around the year 1500, when it was conceived as a four-winged moated castle with an inner courtyard and a gate leading to today's Barbarastraße. The manor house underwent changes, with remnants of mullioned windows and windows from the 18th to 19th centuries, made of sandstone, still visible today. The farm buildings were constructed from quarry stone and feature gabled roofs. On December 17, 1984, the building was officially registered as a monument.
