Siegendorf Castle

The castle of Siegendorf presumably dates back to the 13th century. It was first mentioned in 1366 as a curia. As excavations showed, it was originally a moated castle.

Among the most famous families who owned Siegendorf or Peresnje, as it was called until 1456, in the Middle Ages were the Veszekény/Cziraky. They owned the lordship from 1291 to 1456.
