Hotel
Russel Manor

Haus Russell, listed as Burgmannshof Russel, stands at Petersilienstraße 1 / Steintorstraße 7 in Haselünne, Emsland, Lower Saxony, and forms the historic core of the Burghotel together with Haus Monnich. After the bishop of Münster abandoned the territorial castle, Burgmannen settled in the town from 1346/47. Of some twenty-two yards, seven survive.
The present house is the former Burgmannshof Lindenberg: a single-storey brick range with a high mansard roof and central risalit, an octagonal stair tower in the courtyard and an oval festival hall (the hotel’s cupola hall). It rose after the town fire of 1798.
