The Hundeluft Castle remains are the ruins of a former moated castle, located in the Hundeluft district of Coswig (Anhalt).

History+

The first documented mention of Hundeluft Castle dates back to 1280, when it was conquered by John II. In 1307, the settlement was first referred to as a village with an associated manor. The castle was besieged and captured on February 8, 1414, by Prince Albrecht of Zerbst, after which the robber knights Cuno and Godemar Walwitz fled. The castle and village subsequently remained in the possession of Prince Albrecht. In 1457, the complex changed hands through sale to the knight Albrecht of Zerbst.
