In Baesweiler, North Rhine-Westphalia, the Setterich Castle remains are a relic of a moated castle, of which only the historic gatehouse has survived. It now serves as an entrance to a modern nursing home.

The original moated castle of Setterich underwent several transformations. Around 1640, the gatehouse, still visible today, was erected. A large part of the other castle buildings was demolished around 1820, reducing the complex's size and ending its character as a fortress.

The Setterich Castle remains are located in Baesweiler, in the Setterich district, within the Aachen city region in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
