The Bosenstein Castle Ruin, also known as Hagenbrucker Castle, is a spur castle situated on the Schlossbuckel behind the Schlosshof in Ottenhöfen in the Black Forest.

History+

The origins of Bosenstein Castle date back to the 11th century, when it was built by the Counts of Eberstein. The first documented mention as "castrum Botzenstein" occurred in 1291. The Lords of Bosenstein were the owners of this complex, which was expanded once more in 1617. It was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. Finally, in 1840, the remaining structures were demolished.
