Brunkenstein Castle
The castle ruin Brunkenstein, a former outwork of Dhaun Castle, is located in Hochstetten-Dhaun. Its history is closely linked to the Dhaun Feud, which took place in the 14th century.
History+
Brunkenstein Castle was built between 1337 and 1341 during the so-called Dhaun Feud. It was erected as part of a conflict between Archbishop Balduin of Trier and Wildgrave Johann of Dhaun. As early as 1411, the castle was razed, marking its end as a defensive structure.

The castle ruin Brunkenstein is situated in Hochstetten-Dhaun in the district of Bad Kreuznach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located at an elevation of approximately 222 meters above sea level.
