The remains of the castle can be visited

Burgstall Burren refers to a ruined lowland castle next to a water tower on the flat meadow hill of Burren, about 500 meters west of Wäscherhof in the municipality of Wäschenbeuren in the Göppingen district (Baden-Württemberg).

The castle was probably built between 1000 and 1050 by Friedrich von Büren, was owned by Obervogt Sailer around 1750, during which time renovations also took place, and later by the Diocese of Rottenburg. In 1861, the castle was sold for demolition. In 1957, excavations at the castle site with a moat uncovered foundations of two towers.
