History+
The origins of Ebersberg Castle date back to the 12th century when it was built by the Lords of Ebersberg. The first documented mention can be found in 1153. Around 1430, the castle was owned by the Weißenau Monastery. Its decline began around 1468, after which it fell into ruin.

The Ebersberg Castle Ruin is located at an elevation of approximately 555 meters above sea level in the municipality of Neukirch in the Bodenseekreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated on an end moraine cone.

Visitors can today explore the remains of the Ebersberg Castle Ruin. From the former complex, foundation walls and parts of the enclosing walls are still preserved. The ruin is freely accessible.
