The Eibach Castle Ruin, a former moated castle, is located in Lindlar in the Oberbergischer Kreis.

History+

The origins of Eibach Castle date back to the 14th century, when it was built as a moated castle with a footprint of 15 by eight meters. Its first documented mention is from the year 1356. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the property belonged to the knightly family von Neuhoff, known as Ley, before it was later acquired by the Seraing family. A fire on the night of December 16th to 17th, 1782, largely destroyed the castle.
