Eišiškės Castle
The castle ruin of Eišiškės, a historical structure in Lithuania, has a past. The origins of Eišiškės Castle date back to the 13th century. In the 14th century, the complex was owned by the Grand Duke of Lithuania Vytautas the Great and his wife Anna of Lithuania. A fire in 1434, caused by military conflicts, destroyed the castle, but it was subsequently rebuilt.
The castle ruin of Eišiškės is located in the town of Eišiškės in the Šalčininkai district, within the Vilnius region in Lithuania. It stands at an elevation of approximately 158 meters above sea level.
