Eutingen Castle

The origins of Eutingen Castle date back to the second half of the 13th century, when it was built as the ancestral seat of the Lords of Eutingen. Around the year 1300, ownership transferred to the Böcklin family, with Conrad Böckling already referring to himself as "uf Utinger Thal" in 1295. In the 15th century, the castle passed to the Schütz family, followed by the von Ow in the 16th century. Around 1680, the von Wernau family took over the complex, before it came into the possession of the Schenken von Stauffenberg in 1723. The castle met its end in 1818 when it was sold for demolition.
