Gutach Castle
The Gutach Castle Ruin, also known as Gutach Tower, are remains found near the municipality of Gutach in the Ortenau district. It was built by the Lords of Hornberg.
History+
The construction of Gutach Castle took place around the year 1300, when the Lords of Hornberg erected it as a tower-like building. The complex was destroyed as early as 1368. In 1703, the remaining structures were demolished.

The Gutach Castle Ruin is situated on an outcrop of the Bühlerstein near Gutach in the Ortenau district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It lies at an elevation of approximately 277 meters above sea level.
On site+
Visitors today can explore the foundation walls of the former castle complex. These were a tower-like building that had a side length of 27 meters.
