East of Sipplingen, the Haldenberg Castle Ruin, also known as Haldenburg or Burghalde, is on a rock cone. This hilltop castle in the Bodenseekreis, Baden-Württemberg, offers an insight into medieval architecture.
History+
Haldenberg Castle was constructed in the 12th century. Its first documented mention appears in 1291. The castle was owned by the noble families of Haldenberg and Wangen. The site was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War.

The Haldenberg Castle Ruin is situated on a rock cone east of the municipality of Sipplingen in the Bodenseekreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It lies at an elevation of approximately 501 meters above sea level.

Today, remnants of the castle complex are still preserved. The ruin is accessible to visitors and can be explored.
