Hallermund Castle
The Hallermund Castle Ruin, whose sparse remains are still visible today, once served as the center of the County of Hallermund. This hilltop castle was first documented in 1189.
History+
The first mention of Hallermund Castle occurred in 1189. During the 13th and 14th centuries, the Counts of Hallermund progressively lost influence due to conflicts with the Welfs. In 1435, the castle was razed during a feud, having become a robber baron's stronghold. Following its destruction, it was never rebuilt.

The Hallermund Castle Ruin is located in Springe, in the Hanover Region, Lower Saxony, Germany. It stands at an elevation of approximately 184 m above sea level.
