The Heidenschlössle castle ruin, also known as Bürgle, Birgle, or Birkle, is in the municipality of Orsingen-Nenzingen. This former defensive structure is characterized by its preserved wall remnants and a neck ditch.
History+
The construction of Heidenschlössle Castle is presumed to have taken place in the 13th century and is attributed to the Lords of Orsingen. Its existence is documented by a mention in 1618. The complex eventually fell into ruin.

The Heidenschlössle castle ruin is located approximately 1300 meters southeast of the church in the Orsingen district, within the municipality of Orsingen-Nenzingen in the Konstanz district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It stands at an elevation of approximately 440 meters above sea level.
On site+
Parts of the walls and the distinctive neck ditch from the original complex are still preserved.
