The Hohenbodman castle ruin is located in Hohenbodman, a district of the municipality of Owingen, in the Bodenseekreis in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 639 meters above sea level.

History+

The origins of this hilltop castle date back to the late 11th century, when it was built by the Lords of Bodman. The complex was first documented in the 13th century and later served as a pledge object for the Prince-Bishopric of Constance.
