Honstetten Castle
The Honstetten Castle Ruin, also known as Spicher or Old Tower, is a tower castle ruin situated on a hill in Honstetten, a district of Eigeltingen. Located in the Konstanz district of Baden-Württemberg, this structure serves today as a landmark of the region.
History+
The origins of Honstetten Castle likely date back to the turn of the 11th to the 12th century. The well-preserved castle tower, which served as a defensive, residential, and storage tower, was first documented in 1429. The complex changed hands multiple times. In 1902, the Spicher initially passed to the municipality of Honstetten and later into state ownership. Since 1992, the ruin has been back in private hands.

The Honstetten Castle Ruin is privately owned. The three-story tower, which stands 15.5 meters tall and has a base area of 9 by 7 meters, is the preserved remnant of the former fortified lord's seat.
