The remains of the Castle can be visited

The castle is first mentioned in a document as early as 1150 with Heinrich de Chambecha. The first lords of the castle named themselves after the castle. They were a ministerial family of the Babenbergs and probably belonged to the family of the Lords of Kaja. Their members are mentioned repeatedly until 1312.
