Karlsbach Castle

The remains of the Castle can be visited

Karlsbach was first mentioned in the Babenberg Urbarium in 1160 with Ramunt von Chornespach. In 1254, the brothers Otto and Herandus de Chornespach appeared.

Around 1377, the family with Otto von Kornspach is believed to have died out. However, the castle had already been pledged to the Diocese of Freising in 1282, 1298, and 1381.
