The remains of the Castle can be visited

The history of Karlsberg Castle is very eventful. It begins with the High Noble Leopold de Projern, who first appears in 1106 as "Liutpolt de Prewarin". His son Karl (documented from 1137 to 1164) is considered the builder of the castle. His son already called himself Wichard von Karlsberg in 1169.
